Playing

The game is free to play. Anything else we ever offer will be announced on the site with its own rules rather than appearing in a paragraph here.

Scores

Every score is replayed on the server before it counts. A score that the replay does not reproduce is rejected. We also measure how a run was played and flag runs whose timing looks automated; we may refuse or remove any score we believe was not produced by a person playing. Our decision on this is final, because a leaderboard that argues about it is not a leaderboard.

Names

Claim a name and it is yours while you use it. Do not claim names to impersonate someone, and do not claim names that are hateful, obscene or another party’s trademark. We may remove a name for any of those reasons. Names are matched case-insensitively and with confusable characters folded, so you cannot take a variant of a name someone already has.

Fair use

Do not automate play, script the API, or attempt to overload the service. Rate limits apply and we may block addresses that ignore them.

Buying a placement

What you are buying

A share of the ad placements in the game, proportional to your spend against everyone else’s. The exact share moves as others buy and raise. Placement never changes the difficulty of the game — spend decides whose logo is on an obstacle, never where an obstacle is, how large it is, or whether it can be cleared.

What you must be

You may only buy a placement for a brand you own or are authorised to represent. You are responsible for having the rights to the name, logo and copy you submit, and for that content being lawful and accurate.

Where a placement may point

A placement leads to a product site or an X profile. Three kinds of address are refused at checkout, so you will find this out before you pay rather than after:

We add our own utm_source=adrun.lol to outbound clicks so you can see this traffic in your analytics, and we never overwrite a campaign parameter you set yourself.

What we can refuse

We may refuse or remove any listing, before or after payment, at our discretion — in particular anything deceptive, adult, hateful, unlawful, impersonating another business, or promoting gambling, weapons or drugs. Removal does not entitle you to a refund.

Money

Bids are in whole US dollars and are shown without tax. Where VAT or sales tax applies it is calculated and added at checkout, so the bid is what we receive and the tax is on top of it. Rank is decided by the bid, never by the total charged — otherwise the board would rank by tax jurisdiction rather than by spend.

Raising an existing listing charges only the difference. The highest bid holds the top position and the placements reserved for it. There is no minimum premium to take it: a single dollar over the current leader is enough, and equal bids keep their placement order, so matching the leader does not displace them. Placement is permanent in the sense that you stay in the game once you have bought; your share of impressions moves as other people spend.

We do not guarantee any particular number of impressions, clicks or outcomes. Reported figures are our own measurements and are provided as they are.

The game changes

This is a game that sells advertising inside itself, and both halves of that will keep moving. We may add, remove or redesign ad formats; change how often each appears; change the obstacle mix, the pacing, the artwork or the physics; and change how a share of impressions is calculated from spend, including the weighting, the rounding, and what counts as an impression, a view, a click or a reach at all.

What you are buying is a share of the placements that exist at the time, proportional to your spend against everyone else’s — not a specific format, a specific position, a specific number of appearances, or a specific method of counting them. If we retire a format your creative was appearing in, your spend continues to buy the same share of whatever placements replace it.

Two things we will not do quietly, because they are the reasons anyone trusts the board: spend will never change the difficulty of the game, and we will not cut anyone’s share in order to sell it to someone else outside the ordinary rule that more spend takes more share. A material change to how share is calculated will be dated at the top of this page.

What the numbers mean

Impressions and completed views are counted by the server replaying a run — the same replay that verifies the score — so a browser cannot inflate them. Clicks are counted when we serve the outbound redirect. Reach counts distinct players rather than appearances. These definitions are ours, they are measured rather than estimated, and they may change as the game changes. They are not audited by a third party and are not comparable to another network’s figures.

Refunds

Payments are final. We do not give refunds. A placement starts the moment payment is confirmed — the listing goes on the board and begins accumulating impressions straight away — so by paying you ask us to begin immediately and give up any cooling-off period to the extent the law lets you. Where a consumer right cannot be waived, that right still applies; nothing here is an attempt to sign it away.

That covers every outcome, not a chosen few: being outbid, getting fewer clicks than you hoped, a format you appeared in being retired, a change to how share is calculated, downtime, or removal for breaking these terms. If you reverse a payment without a legal basis, we may remove the listing and decline to sell to you again.

Being outbid

Anyone can outbid you, including for the placements reserved for the top spender, and that takes effect immediately — mid-run, on every screen currently playing. That is the product working as intended, not a fault, and it is not grounds for a refund.

Your creative, and other people’s brands

Buying a placement gives us permission to store, resize, recolour for contrast, cache and display the name, logo, copy and link you submit — anywhere on this site and in the game, for as long as the listing exists and afterwards in archives and backups. You keep everything you own; this is only the permission we need to show it.

We fetch a logo and description from the address you give us so a listing can be recognised. Third-party names and marks appear only to identify where a placement leads. That is not a claim of affiliation or endorsement in either direction: a brand appearing in this game has not endorsed it, and a placement is a paid advertisement rather than our opinion of a product.

Complaints and takedowns

If a listing infringes your rights, impersonates you, or points somewhere unlawful, email hello@adrun.lol with the listing, the destination, what is wrong, and confirmation that you are the rights holder or may act for them. We may take a listing down while we look at it. This matters here more than on most sites: anyone can buy a placement for any brand, so if one is running under your name and you did not buy it, this is how to have it removed.

The usual

The site is provided as it is, without warranties. We do not guarantee it will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. If you buy for a company, you confirm you may bind it. You will cover us for claims arising from your listing, the place it sends people, or your breach of these terms.

We may change these terms; material changes will be dated at the top. For a payment already made, the terms in force at checkout govern that payment unless the law requires otherwise. These terms are governed by the law of the operator’s jurisdiction.
