Playing

The game is free. There is no prize pool and nothing to win but a position on the leaderboard. If that ever changes it will be announced on the site with its own rules, and those rules will say so plainly rather than appearing in a paragraph here.

Scores

Every score is replayed on the server before it counts. A score that the replay does not reproduce is rejected. We also measure how a run was played and flag runs whose timing looks automated; we may refuse or remove any score we believe was not produced by a person playing. Our decision on this is final, because a leaderboard that argues about it is not a leaderboard.

Names

Claim a name and it is yours while you use it. Do not claim names to impersonate someone, and do not claim names that are hateful, obscene or another party’s trademark. We may remove a name for any of those reasons. Names are matched case-insensitively and with confusable characters folded, so you cannot take a variant of a name someone already has.

Fair use

Do not automate play, script the API, or attempt to overload the service. Rate limits apply and we may block addresses that ignore them.

Buying a placement

What you are buying

A share of the ad placements in the game, proportional to your spend against everyone else’s. The exact share moves as others buy and raise. Placement never changes the difficulty of the game — spend decides whose logo is on an obstacle, never where an obstacle is, how large it is, or whether it can be cleared.

What you must be

You may only buy a placement for a brand you own or are authorised to represent. You are responsible for having the rights to the name, logo and copy you submit, and for that content being lawful and accurate.

What we can refuse

We may refuse or remove any listing, before or after payment, at our discretion — in particular anything deceptive, adult, hateful, unlawful, impersonating another business, or promoting gambling, weapons or drugs. Refused listings are refunded in full.

Money

Bids are in whole US dollars. Raising an existing listing charges only the difference. Taking the top position costs a set amount more than the current leader, so the top spot never changes hands for a dollar. Placement is permanent in the sense that you stay in the game once you have bought; your share of impressions moves as other people spend.

We do not guarantee any particular number of impressions, clicks or outcomes. Reported figures are our own measurements and are provided as they are.

Being outbid

Anyone can outbid you, including for the placements reserved for the top spender, and that takes effect immediately — mid-run, on every screen currently playing. That is the product working as intended, not a fault, and it is not grounds for a refund.

The usual

The site is provided as it is, without warranties. We do not guarantee it will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

We may change these terms; material changes will be dated at the top. These terms are governed by the law of the operator’s jurisdiction.
